1. One question that I have about the book is what ever happened to Clarrese because they never really clarified on what happened to her on her disapperence?
2. One way that Montag has changed from the beggining untill now is that in the beggining of the book he was a regular fireman just burning things. Now in the book he is now a thinker and he knows what he used to do was wrong. That is one way that he has changed throughout the book and how his personality has changed. Now he actually feels bad about what he has done.

1) I think we can safely assume that Clarisse was 'taken care of' by the government or fire department. Considering everyone knew the fact that she was a 'rebel' it can be said that the information got to the higher ups soon enough.
2) Good insight. I like how you pointed out that in the beginning, he was basically a machine. He had no emotions about what he was doing. Except for the fact that he loved burning things. Sympathy and empathy came when he started reading and understanding life through and through.
